Tokyo: Nikkei snaps losing streak

    [TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei index closed nearly 1 per cent higher on Tuesday on bargain-hunting following three days of declines.

    The Nikkei 225 rose 0.99 per cent, or 284.69 points, to 29,027.94, while the broader Topix index gained 1.27 per cent, or 24.10 points, to 1,917.68.
