TOKYO stocks closed higher on Tuesday (Jul 5) as exporters were buoyed by a weaker yen while investors searched for clues after US markets were closed for a national holiday.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 1 per cent, or 269.66 points, to end at 26,423.47, while the broader Topix index climbed 0.5 per cent, or 9.41 points, to 1,879.12. AFP
