    TOKYO stocks surged on Wednesday (Jul 20) as investors took heart from US rallies while awaiting a Bank of Japan policy decision this week.

    The benchmark Nikkei 225 index advanced 2.67 per cent or 718.58 points at 27,680.26, while the broader Topix index jumped 2.29 per cent or 43.65 points to 1,946.44. AFP
