Tokyo: Shares open 0.05% lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares edged down 0.05 per cent at the open Monday, despite a positive lead from Wall Street as investors await trading cues from a string of fresh economic data from China later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange slipped 9.02 points to 18,282.78 in opening deals.
