Tokyo: Shares open flat

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened flat on Thursday, capped by a firm yen after four days of gains.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.07 per cent, or 12.39 points, to 17,011.30 in the first few minutes of trading while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.01 per cent, or 0.14 points, to 1,357.06.
