Tokyo: Shares open flat after Wall Street losses

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened flat on Thursday following a negative lead from Wall Street as investors sat on the fence ahead of a key speech from Federal Reserve boss Janet Yellen.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.10 per cent, or 17.15 points, to 16,580.15 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was off 0.02 per cent, or 0.28 point, at 1,306.43.
