[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened nearly flat on Friday as investors digested sharp selloffs on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.01 per cent, or 2.91 points, to 27,244.22 in early trade and the broader Topix index was up 0.09 per cent, or 1.69 points, to 1,921.61. AFP
