TOKYO stocks opened nearly flat on Thursday after a four-day winning streak and overnight falls of US shares. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged down 0.02 per cent, or 4.78 points, at 28,229.51, while the broader Topix index fell 0.15 per cent, or 2.87 points, to 1,967.11. AFP
