[TOKYO] Tokyo shares were flat in opening trade on Tuesday after another record on Wall Street gave a boost to sentiment.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index ticked up 0.05 per cent, or 9.10 points, to 16,878.66 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares rose 0.14 per cent, or 1.89 points, to 1,318.52.
