[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday after three days of gains as the yen remained firm.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged down 0.06 per cent, or 9.63 points, to 16,953.98 in the first few minutes of trading while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.10 per cent, or 1.32 points, to 1,355.25.
