Tokyo: Shares open lower on Monday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Monday as the yen's continued strength weighed on the market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.39 per cent, or 74.42 yen, to 19,160.20 in the first minutes of trading, while the Topix index of all first-section issues slipped 0.34 per cent, or 5.23 points, to 1,539.31.
