TOKYO stocks opened lower on Monday following a long weekend that saw global selloffs, with investors expected to stay “risk-off” for some time.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index dropped 1.44 per cent, or 392.37 points, to 26,761.46 in early trade, while the broader Topix index lost 1.34 per cent, or 25.66 points, to 1,890.46. AFP
