Tokyo: Shares up at open, track Wall Street gains

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened higher on Tuesday, tracking solid gains on Wall Street as a weaker yen lifted exporters.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange climbed 0.43 per cent, or 71.02 points, to 16,651.05 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.29 per cent, or 3.86 points, to 1,336.29.
