Tokyo: Shares rebound after sharp selling

    TOKYO stocks shed earlier losses and ended higher on Monday (Oct 3) as investors picked up bargains despite continued concerns over US monetary tightening.

    The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 1.07 per cent, or 278.58 points, to 26,215.79, while the broader Topix index rose 0.63 per cent, or 11.64 points, to 1,847.58. AFP
