Tokyo: Shares rise after global rallies on US retail data
[TOKYO] Tokyo's Nikkei index opened higher on Wednesday following global market gains on upbeat US retail data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 0.21 per cent or 63.61 points at 29,871.73 in early trade, while the broader Topix index rose 0.10 per cent or 1.99 points to 2,052.82.
