Tokyo: Stocks up for 11th straight day, hit fresh 21-year high

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark index marked another fresh 21-year high on Tuesday, rising for the 11th straight session, as upbeat Japanese corporate earnings outweighed concerns about overheating.

The Nikkei 225 rose 0.38 per cent, or 80.56 points to end at 21,336.12, while the Topix index gained 0.24 per cent, or 4.19 points, to 1,723.37.
