Tokyo: Stocks close 0.64% lower ahead of Fed meeting

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed 0.64 per cent lower on Tuesday as investors eye deadlocked Greek debt talks and await the outcome of a Federal Reserve policy meeting later in the week.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 129.85 points to close at 20,257.94, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares fell 0.73 per cent, or 12.06 points, to 1,639.86.
