[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed higher for a fourth consecutive session on Tuesday, tracking gains on Wall Street where tech shares rallied as long-term yields sank.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.7 per cent, or 189.37 points, to end at 28,553.98, while the broader Topix index was up 0.3 per cent, or 6.48 points, to 1,919.52.
