Tokyo: Stocks close higher as North Korea worries ease

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed higher Thursday, helped by the yen's fall on receding worries over the North Korean nuclear crisis.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.61 per cent, or 127.77 points, to end at 21,159.08 while the broader Topix index was up 0.26 per cent, or 4.44 points, at 1,704.00.
