[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks ended higher on Wednesday, supported by positive data from leading global economies and confidence following a host of strong earnings results.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.48 per cent, or 94.96 points, to close at 20,050.16 while the Topix index of all first section issues was up 0.24 per cent, or 3.81 points, at 1,620.88.
