Tokyo: Stocks close lower on late profit-taking
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks erased early gains and closed down on Monday as investors locked in profits following recent gains.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.21 per cent, or 45.85 points, to 21,761.65, while the broader Topix index was down 0.35 per cent, or 5.61 points, at 1,620.14.
