[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed lower on Friday on profit-taking, snapping a three-day winning streak after US stocks retreated from record highs.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.45 per cent, or 98.40 points, at 21,658.15, while the broader Topix index lost 0.40 per cent, or 6.33 points, to 1,571.52.
