Tokyo: Stocks close lower on Thursday
TOKYO stocks closed lower on Thursday (Aug 18) as investors locked in profits following falls on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.96 per cent, or 280.63 points, to 28,942.14, while the broader Topix index ended down 0.82 per cent, or 16.49 points, at 1,990.50. AFP
