[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed lower on Wednesday tracking falls on Wall Street, as optimism over US-China trade talks receded after recent comments from both sides.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.31 per cent, or 66.07 points, to close at 21,469.18, while the broader Topix index inched down 0.08 per cent, or 1.33 points, at 1,567.41.
