Tokyo stocks close lower as yen firms

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed lower on Wednesday as a stronger yen weighed on the market with investors also taking profits after three days of rallies.
The bellwether index lost 0.26 per cent, or 61.79 points, to end at 23,788.20 while the broader Topix index was up 0.15 per cent, or 2.82 points, at 1,892.11.
