Tokyo: Stocks edge higher after wild trading

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks edged higher Friday after two days of wild trading that followed Donald Trump's surprise win in the US presidential election.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index - which rallied almost seven per cent on Thursday after initially sinking on Trump's victory - added 0.18 per cent, or 30.37 points, to end at 17,374.79.
The broader Topix index of all first section issues was up 0.14 per cent, or 1.93 points, to 1,378.28.
