Tokyo: Stocks open flat after weak Wall St session

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened flat on Tuesday after modest losses on Wall Street as the markets reopened following a long national holiday weekend.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange ticked down 0.02 per cent, or 3.82 points, to 19,875.99 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares slipped 0.11 per cent, or 1.83 points, to 1,601.35.
