Tokyo: Stocks open flat ahead of Bank of Japan meeting

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened flat on Friday, after a weak session on Wall Street as investors focus on the possibility of fresh Bank of Japan stimulus later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged down 0.06 per cent, or 11.40 points, to 18,924.31 in opening deals.
