[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened flat on Friday in cautious trade ahead of closely watched US jobs data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down just 0.01 per cent or 2.36 points at 21,700.09 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up just 0.02 per cent or 0.29 points at 1,590.07.
