Tokyo: Stocks open higher after mixed US close
TOKYO stocks opened higher on Monday (May 23) after a mixed US market, with analysts saying the day’s trade was expected to say within a narrow range.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.99 per cent, or 264.04 points, at 27,003.07 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.84 per cent, or 15.85 points, at 1,893.22. AFP
