Tokyo: Stocks open higher after Wall Street records

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Thursday, taking a positive lead from record-setting gains on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.48 per cent or 104.23 points to 21,742.39 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.47 per cent or 7.49 points at 1,587.03.
