[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday, bolstered by gains on Wall Street and a weak yen.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 1.45 per cent, or 307.34 points, to 21,513.15 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 1.4 per cent or 22.26 points at 1,613.90.
