Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Friday

    TOKYO stocks opened higher on Friday in cautious trade ahead of US jobs data due later in the day. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.25 per cent, or 69.78 points, at 27,731.25 in early trade, while the broader Topix index edged up 0.10 per cent, or 2.03 points, to 1,937.52. AFP
