Tokyo: Stocks open higher as investors await Greek debt deal

    [TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday as investors await developments in last-ditch talks aimed at hammering out a bailout deal for Greece.

    The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 0.84 per cent, or 166.79 points, to 19,946.62 in the first few minutes of trading.
