[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday helped by rallies on Wall Street with a higher yen against the dollar capping the upside.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 1.20 per cent or 274.50 at 23,157.15 in early trade, while the broader Topix index advanced 1.16 per cent or 18.68 points at 1,623.55.
