Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Monday with eyes on Ukraine

    [TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday after sharp drops in the previous session as investors remained cautious over uncertainties linked to the Ukraine crisis.

    The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.84 per cent or 211.58 points at 25,374.36 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.78 per cent or 14.00 points at 1,813.54. AFP
