[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Tuesday, extending rallies on Wall Street, where investors cheered the passage of a US infrastructure overhaul.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.16 per cent or 45.77 points at 29,552.82 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.23 per cent or 4.76 points at 2,039.98.
