Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Tuesday

    [TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Tuesday as investors bought on dips while awaiting growth outlooks from the upcoming corporate earnings season.

    The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.22 per cent, or 65.71 points, at 29,604.44 in early trade, while the broader Topix index rose 0.16 per cent, or 3.03 points, to 1,957.62.
