Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Tuesday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Wednesday, tracking rallies on Wall Street and boosted by a cheaper yen as investors weigh up corporate earnings forecasts.
Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.78 per cent, or 153.16 points, to 19,766.44 in early trading, while the Topix index of all first-section issues advanced 0.76 per cent, or 11.82 points, to 1,577.04.
