Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Wednesday
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Wednesday, supported by a solid performance on Wall Street and hopes for progress in US-China trade talks.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 0.28 per cent or 60.10 points to 21,362.75 in early trade after two days of gains, while the broader Topix index was up 0.23 per cent or 3.75 points at 1,610.27.
