Tokyo: Stocks open higher with eyes on key US jobs data
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Friday as investors took heart from US rallies with investors looking ahead to US job data due later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.25 per cent or 70.23 points at 28,613.74 in early trade, while the broader Topix index edged up 0.27 per cent or 5.39 points to 1,988.96.
