Tokyo: Stocks open higher as yen eases

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday as the yen eased against the dollar while a key central bank business confidence survey showed a better-than-expected reading.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 edged up 0.07 per cent, or 13.47 points, to 20,046.90 in early trading while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.04 per cent, or 0.60 points, at 1,612.50.
