Tokyo: Stocks open higher as yen stays weak

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Friday, aided by gains on Wall Street and the yen's downwards trend.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.24 per cent or 52.62 points to 22,323.01 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.02 per cent or 0.38 points at 1,727.38.
