Tokyo: Stocks open lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Tuesday, dragged down by a firmer yen and Wall Street easing from record highs.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.40 per cent, or 74.28 points, to 18,282.61 in the first few minutes of trade, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.33 per cent, or 4.84 points, at 1,464.74.
