[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Tuesday after US President Donald Trump announced tariffs on another US$200 billion in Chinese goods.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.18 per cent or 41.95 points to 23,052.72 in early trade while the Topix index was down 0.15 per cent or 2.54 points at 1,726.07.
