[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday, extending falls on Wall Street on worries about the worsening toll of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 1.23 per cent or 329.94 points at 26,514.78 in early trade, while the broader Topix index fell 1.20 per cent or 22.72 points to 1,874.45. AFP
