[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Friday as investors reaped profits on recent gains, with fresh worries over US-China trade tensions and a stronger yen weighing on the market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.84 per cent or 192.72 points to 22,734.32 in early trade while the broader Topix index was down 0.74 per cent or 12.38 points at 1,654.63.
