[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Monday as investor sentiment heartened by rallies on Wall Street was offset by worries about oil prices after top oil producers agreed on output cuts.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 1.11 per cent or 215.51 points at 19,282.99 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was down 1.00 per cent or 14.35 points at 1,415.69.
