[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday, tracking falls on Wall Street where a tech rally faded due to weak housing start data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 1.39 per cent or 393.49 points to 28,013.35 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was down 0.98 per cent or 18.73 points at 1,889.01.
