Tokyo: Stocks open lower on Wednesday
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday as investors sought to lock in profits after recent rallies, with falls on Wall Street also weighing on the market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.65 per cent or 200.30 points at 30,469.80 in early trade, while the broader Topix index slipped 0.81 per cent or 17,18 points to 2,101.69.
